After short periods of employment from July 1991 thru December 1992, Dr. Saunders opened this dermatology practice to solve patient’s dermatology problems by maintaining the highest standards in the practice of medicine. In 2005, the practice moved to its current location (a building built specifically for dermatological needs, including a state of the art lab).
Our office is a CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988) certified facility. We take an active supportive role in philanthropy activities in the area.

Dr. Saunders was the first dermatologist in this area to read skin pathology slides.
Dr. Saunders introduced the Mohs surgical technique to Northern Michigan in 1993.
